Fluttetwave Brings PayPal Full Services To Nigeria And Other African Countries

Leading African financial technology company Flutterwave has partnered with PayPal to bring full PayPal services to Nigeria and the rest of the African continent. Flutterwave reports it on its website . With this new development, merchants in Africa can now pay and accept PayPal payments. Something that had never been possible before.

Flutterwave has maintained the potential of Africa's leading fintech sector. According to qz.com, the company is currently valued at over $1 billion (USD).

This announcement means African freelancers can now receive PayPal payments directly without the pre-emptive pressure of using a third-party PayPal account to receive payments.

Previously, PayPal only allowed African customers to pay into their bank accounts using MasterCard or VISA cards. However, South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Egypt and Mozambique are the only African countries to use PayPal's full service in the past.

PayPal expressed concern about the lack of financial security in other African countries, so they never got to full capacity. Flutterwave embraces the risk factor and has made PayPal a guarantee of smooth and risk-free transactions for its merchants. Flutterwave continues to offer smooth and easy financial payment services in the African Fintech space.

Commenting on the announcement, Olugbenga 'GB' Agboola, founder and CEO of Flutterwave, said: “We are excited to bring a fully integrated PayPal service to businesses in Africa. This partnership reinforces our vision of creating a seamless digital payment system for the African business community to transact with international consumers.

“By working with PayPal, we can further strengthen our commitment to our customers and service users, enabling them to grow and expand their business operations to reach new markets. PayPal's global reach is unmatched and partnering with them allows our customers to explore new markets that PayPal is entering.
